Other Happenings of recent past

Just a quick little update to let you all know what else has been going on in life.

One weekend, we were *supposed* to get a big snow storm, so round about 3 o'clock on Saturday, they cancelled BOTH church services for Sunday. Being the guy who can't sit and do nothing for *too* long (excepting a Saturday morning nap), I decided we should paint the playroom, as we've been thinking about it for awhile.

So off to Home Depot!

Here's Zion helping me paint

And here's the colors we chose, green and blue, with whitish trim. I like it, although I wish the blue was a touch less purpley. (is that a word?)

It's still not completely done. I get all excited to paint, and then after my arms about fall off from trimming stuff in, I'm less excited to finish. Besides, we needed to move all the furniture back into place so the boys could do school on Monday.

We also got some "chalkboard" paint recently and will be updating the Emond Homeschool wall with a new chalkboard.

In other news, we had some guests come from a long way JUST to stay with us! Ok ok, so you can probably call my bluff there, they came for Winter Youth Retreat and stopped by here on their way out of town the country.

There were many great games of Crazy Uno that took place. Esther did finally win a few even. It was a nice time, although work got in the way for me somewhat. *vent* We had this stupid meeting I got pulled into, and they said, "hey, we've kinda wanted this for awhile now, can we make it a priority finally and get it done in..oh, say 2 days?" */vent* Where was I?

Ah yes...our company...

Here's some of us just before our trip to the Creation Museum

Ruth, Josiah, Esther
Some weirdo

Now, the Creation Museum is a most spiffinly wonderful place that you simply MUST go to. How'd the Ice Age happen? No problem, they can tell you. Dinosaurs? Easy. Evolution? Bwaaa hahahahhahaa

See, you really HAVE to go! Those Answers in Genesis people sure do good stuff!
