Travelling with Technology

We're going on a trip!! Yes, it's time FOR

Adventures of Trevor and AnnaMay!!!

(thank you! thank you!)

We'll be headed out on Monday morning (yes! Christmas day!) and we'll be Florida bound! The itinerary boasts such fine places such as Seaworld, Holy Land Experience, Orlando, and West Palm Beach!
Of course, we're brave brave parents, travelling in a vehicle for 15 hours, with 3 kids. Ages 5, 3 and 7 months. I'm not exactly sure how MY dad made it with 4 kids in a vehicle, one of them being me, on all those trips from MN to MT, but I'm certain he didn't have the technological aids of the modern era!!
For instance, below we have a plethora of technology to aid us on our journey.
Here they are, not pictured are the DVD players, and of course, digital camera...a little hard to take a picture of itself ya know.
We have...
1) Ipod Nano
2) Toshiba Techra Laptop.
3) verizon wireless card for laptop internet connectivity when not in an area that has Wifi.
4) 3 port adapter for cigarette lighter power, loaded with Ipod charger, and 2 cell phone chargers.
5) Ipod portable speaker (thanks for the loan Nate) This lil baby is a speaker powered by a 9 volt battery.
6) Energizer rechargeable batteries. 8 Pack
7) Power invertor
8) GPS
9) Camera battery recharger
10) Energizer battery recharger
11) portable DVD player dual screen (not pictured)
12) Digital Camera (not pictured)

Close up of the power invertor. This lil baby will power the laptop the whole way. No need to run down the battery.

Here we have some of the great marvels of technology that will be along as well. A used "leapster" was just recently given to us, and the "leappad" we've had for awhile, but just re cently aquired a couple new books for it.
Ok, so yeah, I realize we're really blessed!!! I look at all this stuff, and just see the marvels of God on how we came by it. Trust me, I didn't spend 1/4 of the full price of all the stuff you see here. I think the GPS is one of the only things that really cost me much. So, Praise God!
The computer will provide entertainment for AnnaMay, along with providing mapping software online if we should need it. She'll most likely be ebaying as we drive down the highway or something.
The GPS a guy like me can't be without, not so much that it's helpful to know where you are, but what if you get bored all of a sudden? You're never too far from a Geocaching adventure when you have your GPS!!

The Ipod and travel speaker will be of INVALUABLE importance of course. The boys listen to their Bible stories every night to fall asleep. I have uploaded said Bible stories to my Ipod, and we wont have to drag along the tapes and a tape player.
Most of the rest, other than entertainment for the boys, is just the stuff that will keep the rest of this stuff running!
If this wont keep the kids happy (the boys anyhow) then it's back to magnetic travel tic tac toe!!
We'll be posting more updates as we travel onward through our adventure!
Later!

thats just pathetic!!!

so... can we expect "live" updates from the van? How about a Trevor cam?

By the way Anna May, if Trevor tells you that he will stay up and keep you awake.... don't believe him.
